Mine Driver has written a warm intimate memoir in the form of essays。From a young age she reveals herself to be a strong stubborn brave woman。She draws you in and I felt like I was listening to stories from a close friend。I really enjoyed this book Minnie Driver the wonderful actress also is a gifted author。

I *knew* "Managing Expectations" would be magnificent! I've enjoyed Minnie Driver's films & television shows over the years。 I've also listened to her podcast and her albums, and throughout all of my watching and listening, I knew Ms。 Driver had the gift of original storytelling deep within her。 Her essays in "Managing Expectations" will stay with you and they will inspire you。 I'm not a fan of reviews that contain spoilers - I like to keep my reviews general, so if you want to read an extraord I *knew* "Managing Expectations" would be magnificent! Driver chronicles parts of her unusual and dynamic life in this memoir。 The essays range from childhood to the present and if she seems more an observer than a participant in some of them, know that she goes deep about her mother's death。 Some of these are funny, some less so but they're carefully crafted and thoughtful。 Thanks to edelweiss for the ARC。 And anyone with curly hair will appreciate her take! Fantastic! I already really enjoy Minnie Driver but that aside this is a collection of biographical essays that would be great for anyone to read。 The last two essays in this collection particularly were fantastic so well written the last one left me crying as it felt deeply personal to me as well absolutely loved this!

It turns out that Minnie Driver is a great story teller in addition to being a great actress。 I read this in one sitting, and am still thinking about it days later。 It’s absolutely true that the heartbreaking and embarrassing experiences shape us the most, and for the best if we allow ourselves that mindset。 Minnie Driver clearly has that mindset。 She shares tales from childhood through the recent loss of her mother in a highly readable manner。 This book is not a standard biography, but rather a It turns out that Minnie Driver is a great story teller in addition to being a great actress。 I read this in one sitting, and am still thinking about it days later。 It’s absolutely true that the heartbreaking and embarrassing experiences shape us the most, and for the best if we allow ourselves that mindset。 Minnie Driver clearly has that mindset。 She shares tales from childhood through the recent loss of her mother in a highly readable manner。 This book is not a standard biography, but rather a collection of vignettes from her lifetime。 She shares enough to invite you in, yet allows herself the dignity of privacy。 It’s bratty, funny, brave, and heartbreaking。 Overall, I quite enjoyed it。 Thank you to NetGalley and HarperOne for access to this ARC。 。。。more

This book has such a warm intimate feel。 It's like someone at a party telling you their very best stories。 Or meeting a new friend and bonding immediately。 I enjoyed that the essays were nonlinear。 I liked that Ms。 Driver only shares what she wants。 This book has such a warm intimate feel。 It's like someone at a party telling you their very best stories。 Or meeting a new friend and bonding immediately。 I enjoyed that the essays were nonlinear。 I liked that Ms。 Driver only shares what she wants。 。。。more
